The JJB Sports Dome, Trafford Park, Manchester was the location for the first game in the ‘Blue Prism 5 aside World Series’.
A team of young, energetic and skilful footballers from the Barclays Bank business automation team were led to a magnificent 15-6 victory by the veteran Seamus Lynch.
The Blue Prism team performed admirably considering it was their first outing on a football pitch for many years with all the outfield players contributing at least one goal and Chief Executive Alastair Bathgate giving a notable performance between the sticks.
Over a couple of post match drinks, the Barclays team were presented with a trophy to mark their victory and all players agreed that a return match should be arranged once the Blue Prism team has improved fitness levels, ability to tackle and general shooting skills.
Blue Prism Man of the Match Peter Walker commented after the match “The Barclays team deserved to win on this occasion but we made them work hard and we’ll be back even stronger for the return match”
