Following Intellect and Blue Prism’s Automate Britain Campaign launch that took place on 30 January, The Technology Strategy Board will launch a £1M Robotics Feasibility Studies Competition, on the 4th February 2013.
This competition aims to accelerate the development of novel Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) concepts towards technology demonstration and commercialisation – in multiple sectors. It will also aim to stimulate new partnerships between different communities of RAS innovators who have focused on different sectors to date but could collaborate to generate new solutions to known problems. All projects must be collaborative and led by an SME. Projects will last up to 12 months and we expect total project sizes to be up to £133k although projects outside this range will be considered.
Pat Geary, CMO at Blue Prism, said, “This award is welcomed and will assist in raising awareness of what today’s automation technology can offer, and trigger thought leadership to raise UK businesses’ productivity and economic growth.”
