The robotic back office worker arrives in the US
UK company, Blue Prism, has expanded its operations into the US, with the opening of its first office in Miami. This move is in response to strong demand for its robotic automation software. Blue Prism’s unique, technology will help US organisations to automate their manual back office processes by creating a virtual workforce – enabling them to quickly react to business change, improve efficiencies, reduce cost and improve their competitive edge.
Blue Prism’s software, enables business operations, and Business Process Outsourcers to automate business processes quickly and cheaply, without the need for complex software engineering. At heart, the software mimics a human user, driving existing software applications through human-user interfaces, giving the product universal application integration capabilities – without the need for engineering.
Business processes can be safely automated 3-5 times faster than traditional approaches. Blue Prism’s technology also provides the essential operational support and governance – without needing IT development resources.
Using Blue Prism’s technology, saves organisations the associated costs of IT integration and ground-up application development, improves business process efficiencies and liberates IT teams to focus on other key business challenges. Business self service automation also provides organisations with a highly efficient and cost effective alternative to offshoring, near shoring and outsourcing.
Industry analyst, Horses for Sources, state in a recent report, that robotic process automation technology is possibly rendering irrelevant the political and economic debates about offshoring: “a robotic employee is about 1/3rd of traditional offshore costs, with no overheads of recruitment, management and staff turnover. The economics are eye-popping.”
Alastair Bathgate, CEO of Blue Prism said, “The US is a key growth market for us and our expansion here is a result of significant demand for robotic automation solutions. US organisations are currently considering the proven cost and efficiency benefits of a virtual back office workforce – provided by our software. Our expansion into US will help business users to independently address continual change and business process automation initiatives – swiftly and cost-effectively. Francois Levy has joined us as General Manager of our US operations and more hires are expected to follow.”
In the UK, Blue Prism’s technology plays a key role in enabling organisations including; The Co-operative Banking Group, Shop Direct, RWE npower, Fidelity Investments, the NHS and Experian, to rapidly respond to business change through agile back office operations.
